When managing and measuring temperatures way above the 600 °C reach of PT100 sensors, Rodax deploys thermocouples. These types of sensors generate a voltage, that’s in direct relation to the temperature, which can go up to 1.700 °C.
Thermocouples are basically comprised of a thermo element and an extension lead or connection head. The thermo element, being located in the process to be measured, produces a voltage in function of detected temperature fluctuations and can operate between -40°C and 1,700°C. Using Tungsten/Rhenium elements, they can even go as high as 2.200°C. Accuracy classes 1 and 2, and all within IEC 60581 / ASTM E230 tolerances.
