PT100 sensors or resistance thermometers change their electrical resistance, when the sensor elements measure a fluctuation in temperature. Often these sensor elements are made of platinum, because of the very precise way this metal conducts temperature or current.
Rodax offers PT100 sensors in different ranges, issued with a connection cable or connection head. The latter can have a temperature transmitter directly mounted inside. Normally, PT100’s can be deployed in applications with a working temperature between -200 and +600°C, depending of course on model, sensor elements, accuracy and used contact materials.
Within our range of PT100 resistance thermometers, we offer accuracy classes B, A and AA, obtainable with a IEC 60751 tolerances.
