PT100 – Resistance Temperature Detectors

PT100 – Resistance Temperature Detectors

The Pt100 is a common temperature sensor used in measurement and control technology as part of a resistance thermometer. Another commonly used name is RTD, from Resistance Temperature Detector, although it also includes other types of sensors.

70 percent of all industrial temperature measurements are carried out with a Pt100, mainly because of the large measuring range, the almost linear behavior, the long service life, the accuracy and the easy connection.
